The 4th FilmEU Summit | Official Aftermovie

Relive the 4th FilmEU Summit in Bratislava with us as we look back on a brilliant week packed full of great events in the Slovakian capital.

Running from Monday, June 3 to Thursday, June 6 the summit began with a leadership symposium on the legal status for European universities and the European Education Package followed by work package meetings and a general assembly featuring the FilmEU Association.

On Tuesday, June 4 the week continued with the official launch of the summit, work package meetings, and a presentation called, ‘Future models for the film industry in small countries’ delivered by Jakob Isak Nielsen.

This was followed by insightful discussions led by Manuel José Damásio, Veerle Van der Sluys, and Marc Van De Walle among others.

Work package meetings were largely on the agenda again for Wednesday with the day concluding with a presentation from Sarah Atkinson titled, ‘The future of screen media’ and screenings of student films.

The final day of the summit consisted of a VFX collegium led by Ľudovít Labík, a seminal funding presentation, and a cultural intelligence lecture.

In the coming weeks we will be sharing more content from the summit including interviews with people across the FilmEU network and tips and tricks with industry leaders.
