FilmEU Coordinator and CILECT President, Manuel José Damásio, officially opened the 2025 CILECT Congress, hosted by the University of Guadalajara, Mexico.

The event brings together film and media educators from around the world to explore innovation, collaboration, and the future of audiovisual education.

Several FilmEU teachers and staff are also attending to promote the alliance and its initiatives. Among them, Deirdre O’Toole and Marc Van de Walle are presenting Pathfinder, the International Joint BA in Film, developed within the FilmEU alliance. Barry Dignam, representing the FilmEU Steering Committee, is also participating in the event, reinforcing FilmEU’s active role within the global film education community.
