Live Interfaces journal => open call for the second edition
We are pleased to announce that the open call for our second edition is now open.
Live Interfaces is an open access, peer-reviewed and media-rich journal that aims to reflect on the critical role of work with live interfaces in the performing arts – encompassing music, visual arts, dance, puppetry, robotics and games, amongst other forms. It seeks to expose and discuss how different technologies and creative processes might convey original approaches to and/ or alienation from the physical body and the natural environment. As an e-journal, it considers criteria for academic indexing while assuming the internet both as a means of dissemination and a creative medium. The journal can support text-based contributions with embedded media and hyperlinks as well as web-based artworks.

Subsequently to reading the Journal’s Mission, Scope and Editorial Process, send an expression of interest (PDF) to adriana[@]adrianasa.org and carolina.martins[@]ulusofona.pt .

Timeline
Expressions of interest - March 15th to April 28th
The editor-in-chief discusses expressions of interest with the editorial board, so as to pre-assess their adequacy and plan the upcoming edition.
Notification of pre-selection & invitation to full submissions - by May 11th
Full submissions - by July 25th
Fast check: editor-in-chief assesses submitted proposals & sends proposals to reviewers.
Peer-reviews - August-September 20th
Revisions - October/ November 2024
Editor(s) assess reviews & enhancements / revisions.
Proofreading and publication - November 2024
