Open Call for Workshop Proposals
Event: FilmEU Sofia Summit 2025

FilmEU invites innovative minds to submit proposals for workshops to be held during the FilmEU Sofia Summit 2025. This is a unique opportunity to lead a forward-thinking session during a free slot scheduled for 4 June 2025, 15:30–18:00, addressing one of two critical themes:
- Designing New Educational Subjects - Exploring cutting-edge approaches and innovative content to shape the future of cinema and media education.
- New Collaboration/Funding Opportunities - Creating new sustainable funding frameworks to support education and innovation in the creative sectors.
Workshop Objectives
The selected workshop should aim to:
- Engage participants in collaborative activities and discussions.
- Generate actionable outcomes that can inform future practices within FilmEU and beyond.
- Foster connections among educators, industry professionals, and policymakers.
Who Can Submit a Proposal?
We welcome proposals from:
- Educators and curriculum developers in cinema, media, and related fields.
- Researchers and scholars focused on innovation and funding.
- Industry professionals and practitioners.
- Representatives from funding bodies and policymakers.
- Students and early-career professionals with innovative ideas.
Proposal Guidelines
Your proposal should include:
- Title and Theme: Specify whether the focus is on educational subjects or funding opportunities.
- Workshop Objectives: Describe the intended goals and outcomes of the session.
- Format and Activities: Outline the proposed structure, including interactive elements.
- Target Audience: Define who would benefit most from participating.
- Facilitator(s): Provide brief bios of those leading the session.

Selection Process
Proposals will be reviewed based on:
- Relevance to FilmEU’s mission and summit themes.
- Potential for innovation and impact.
- Clarity and feasibility of the proposed workshop format.
- Including at least two proponents from different FilmEU partners
