At the EUI Forum held in Maynooth University on July 10th, FilmEU was highlighted as an inspiring example of the European Universities Initiative. In his welcoming address, Colm O’Reardon, Secretary General of the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, referred to FilmEU as a model of European collaboration and innovation in higher education. His remarks acknowledged the alliance’s contribution to building stronger connections between institutions across Europe, fostering interdisciplinary learning, and creating new opportunities for students, researchers, and staff.

By citing FilmEU as an exemplar in his speech, the Secretary General underlined the initiative’s growing visibility. It is recognition of how European University alliances are having a significant impact on the higher education landscape in that they promote creativity, mobility, and foster cooperation across borders.
