As part of the partnership between Lusófona University and Doclisboa, Cinema Fernando Lopes hosts the round table "Emerging Filmmakers: Paths of Creation and Distribution" on October 23 at 4:00 PM.

Through the FilmEU Alliance, Lusófona University leads engagement with film industry institutions and reference festivals, with Doclisboa serving as an example of this cooperation. This initiative reflects the connection between academic training and the professional film sector.

The session discusses the transition to the professional field, creative processes, and the circulation of new works, featuring the following speakers:

Clara Vieira – Director and actress, trained at ACE and ESTC, with the project Where Fireflies Are Born selected for the Cannes and San Sebastián Film Festivals;
Maria Novo – Director and visual artist, holding a master's degree in Film from EQZE and in Architecture;
Victor Candeias – Director, producer, lecturer at Lusófona University, and coordinator of the DocNomads — Master in Documentary Filmmaking.

Moderation is by Vasco Costa, producer and lecturer at Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema (ESTC).
