FilmEU would like to invite you to join our FilmEU initiative called Agora. This is a think-tank group where students, academics and industry experts come together to discuss a topic or issue that higher education and the creative industries are facing today.
This year’s topic is: “MAPPING THE NARRATIVES OF STEAM”. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics — an integrated, cross-disciplinary approach to (higher) education. The work in this Agora group will highlight why technical and scientific skills alone are not enough for the future job market, and how artistic practices and artistic knowledge are also essential.
Our questions to you
- Are you passionate about the future?
- Are you curious about the role the arts can play in STEAM?
- Do you want to contribute to reimagining the role of the arts within a broader multidisciplinary context?
- Do you feel your voice is valuable and could represent other students?
- Do you want to ensure all groups in society have a voice in important matters?

All students are invited to apply; however, we would particularly like to hear from students who feel their voice is often underrepresented. Agora is an inclusive initiative.
We are looking for two students from each school within the FilmEU European University and the successful applicants will join us at our FilmEU Industry Event in Lisbon this November. All travel and accommodation costs will be covered.
We kindly ask that you seriously consider this call, as both Agora and FilmEU need a student voice. You are the future. The deadline to apply is the 10th of October.
