On Friday, November 14, we’re bringing together leading voices from Europe’s most celebrated film festivals for a special conversation on the art of curating and celebrating cinema.
Titled, ‘Film Heritage on Display: Festivals, Events, and Archives’, the panel will feature:
- Paulina Reizi – Coordinator, A Season of Classic Films (ACE)
- Milja Mikkola – Programme Director, Sodankylä Midnight Sun Film Festival
- Oliver Hanley – Co-curator, Bonn International Silent Film Festival
- Jay Weissberg – Artistic Director, Le Giornate del Cinema Muto (Pordenone)
And will be moderated by Eva Näripea, Director, Film Archive of the National Archives of Estonia.
This panel brings together leading curators and programmers from across Europe to discuss the evolving role of film festivals, public events, and archival initiatives in showcasing and reinterpreting film heritage.
From curatorial strategies to audience engagement, the discussion will explore how institutions collaborate to preserve, promote, and celebrate the moving image within a changing cultural landscape.
