Dr. Díóg O’Connell lectures in film and media at IADT, specialising in Irish Cinema, Documentary Studies, Television Drama and New Media Production. She is Programme Chair of New Media Studies. Her research interests include narrative strategies in Irish cinema, women in early Irish film and the short film narrative. She is the author of New Irish Storytellers (2010) and Documentary in a Changing State (2012) and has written extensively for academic books, journals, peer-review publications and film magazines. She is a member of the international research group, Screenwriting Research Network.
