FilmEU Summit 2023 open day

More than 120 FilmEU team members gathered for an incredible day at the FilmEU Summit in Genk, Belgium, on October 4th. It was a fantastic opportunity for teachers, researchers, students, and specialists, being together all driven by the theme "Fakenews.Fakeworld.Fakeidentity.Trust yourself."

The day was filled with thought-provoking discussions and captivating presentations. Michaël Lobet, Associate at Harvard University, delved into the "Impact of generative AI on teaching," shedding light on the fascinating intersection of AI and education.

Next, Lisanne Buik took the stage to present "Gracious AI - what does it take to design gracious futures with AI?". Her insights left us pondering the boundless possibilities of AI in shaping our future.

A round table discussion followed, where we explored the opportunities that await the Creative Sector beyond the pitfalls. The Impact of AI on Education was a hot topic, and the Student Voice 'What is in it for me?' resonated with all of us.

The day concluded with an inspiring Artistic Research round table with some of the FilmEU ARE artists. You can still experience the exhibition from the comfort of your own space by visiting are.filmeu.eu online.

This remarkable event marked the end of the first phase of FilmEU and the onboarding of the new four partners. The future European University will shape the future of film and media arts.
