Kaloyan Nikolov

BA in Film and TV editing at NATFA. MA in Management in Screen Arts at NATFA.
Curently PhD student at NATFA researching the topic “Narrative in Interactive Film'” and focus of interest in storytelling trough new media and edge technologies such as VR, AR, AI, digital twins technologies etc.
Kaloyan has over 10 years of experience in the independent art field in Bulgaria. He is editor of documentary films such as "Searching for Spisarevski" and "Silence with Dignity."
His roles as producer and executive supervisor for projects include "Feathered Neighbours" (documentary), "Conglomerate" (Bulgarian pavilion with VR experiences at PQ19), "Control" (VR dance experience), "Bulgarian Stone Bridges" (10 digital twins of bridges part of Bulgaria's cultural heritage) and many more.
As photographer, Kaloyan has been featured in the exhibitions "Bodies/Antibodies" (Arosita gallery), "The Assembly of Shame" (Doza gallery), “The IX International Biennale of Miniature Art” (Art gallery – Ruse), "Pink” (Kapana gallery), etc.
Kaloyan is one of the founders and organizers of the Sofia VR Fest, which aims to showcase cutting-edge technologies in science, art, and culture. Director of Innovation in culture foundation.
